WHAT I DO:

I'm a software engineer.

WHY I DO:

I do it because I love it. I really enjoy being a software engineer. I didn't choose it because it's a high-paying job or anything. I originally went to college for mechanical engineering... I wanted to build roller coasters, but I [came to] really love comp sci... And it's awesome that it happens to pay a ton of money.

THE STRUGGLE:

Keeping with the theme, it's not like the best thing to be the only female that I work with on the day to day. And when I do, I rarely see anyone who looks like me. That sucks. Sometimes I don't really have anything in common with people that I work with so at lunch conversations I have nothing to contribute.

And also, I need to practice piano more.

THE DREAM:

The dream is to travel the world for a year... It's scary. Traveling for a year in a place you don't speak the language. I can save for it easy. It's the doing that's scary.

OPEN MIC:

Carolina Panthers forever.
