OPEN MIC:

I would like to say, my name is Mrs. Adrian Pierce. I am 58 years old. I am glad to be talking to [PoB] today. Live life the best you can. Enjoy life. Do what you must do to keep your head above water, but you also must pray because you don't wake up by yourself. In Jesus name, amen.

THE DREAM:

My dream is to live my life the best I can, giving God grace first. Gotta give him grace. You know, we all pray to someone different. I know there's somebody watching over me, ok? And I give him the glory each and every day because I wake up, and I start my journey again. And my journey in life is to be happy, to make other people smile, to know there's other people worse off than me, but if I can just help someone to make them have a better day, that's my purpose in life.

THE STRUGGLE:

The struggle is real, that's number one. We have so much crime; we have hatred; we have people that doesn't understand the knowledge of the 9/11 Memorial, what it's about, what it contains, the story. I'm here to enlighten people about what's going on, not only in my world, but in their world. And I meet people from all over.

WHAT I DO:

I work now for the 9/11 Tribute Center in the corporate office as an administrative assistant, part-time. They still claim me as disabled, but God had did a 360˚ in my life, and look where I work at today.

WHY I DO:

It's healing for me. It gives me a chance to get back into society. I'm a widow. I was married for 32 years. My husband's in heaven. And it just gives me the chance to bring back the spirit in my heart.

"Can you take my picture?... I'm a survivor."
