THE DREAM:

The dream is that we’ll be on equal terms according to what we know and how we present ourselves.

THE STRUGGLE:

The racism in the world.

          Friend: Ditto.

PoB: Why do you say racism?

Because it’s all around you, you know what I’m saying? It’s certain things that we’re allowed to do and it’s structured by the government. Look at the communities we forced to live in, you know what I’m saying? Look at the people we’re forced to be around, you know what I mean? You can’t – even if you have the money – you can’t move into certain areas; you’re not accepted.

WHAT I DO:

I do security.

        Friend: Security.

WHY I DO:

Because I’m a three-time felon and that’s the work I was able to get.

Friend: Cause it’s available, that’s why.

OPEN MIC:

I want to say a lot, but Imma keep it short and sweet: don't hold a grudge.
