THE DREAM:

Well, my dream is to go into…the healthcare management and get a stable job, you know, because as you get older, you realize you need to be stable. You need benefits, you need social security, you need 401k, you know. So, that’s my goal. And maybe to be a supervisor, just grow in the healthcare industry, mainly a hospital. I want to work in a hospital, so that’s my biggest dream.

THE STRUGGLE:

The struggle right now is to get a job in the healthcare industry. It’s very hard. I graduated and I started volunteering in the hospital, but even that, it’s really hard, you know. They’re looking more for people with experience than for people with degree. So, it’s really, really hard, and now I’m just trying to send out my resume, you know. So, that’s one of the biggest struggles I’m going through right now.

WHAT I DO:

I work in the fashion industry.

WHY I DO:

Well, because it’s something that I started when I basically went to college. I changed my idea. I was supposed to be a nurse and I wanted to do fashion because my brother is actually a designer, so I went into the fashion industry. But right now, I’m currently in the fashion industry-- but I went back to school to become… healthcare management.

PoB: So you’re kind of going back to your original…

I’m going backwards, yes. I realized that there’s no stability in fashion. As you get older, it’s harder to either keep a job or it’s harder to get benefits, you know, cause the economy is crazy. With them, it’s like there’s companies where you don’t even have health insurance, or sick or personal days.
